Book Synopsis:

Planet Earth has been rendered uninhabitable by a severe comet impact. The Martian colony has thrived for over two thousand years. But recently, the ugly Martian virus SUNDKA threatens humanity's very existence on the red planet. Humanity's only hope is to locate another habitable planet. The Planet Seeker Program is initiated by Professor Akedis Gates of the Spacing Union. Nearly a decade into the search, hope is made reality when Captain Peterson Everson of the Naval Linker Class cruiser IONARC discovers planet K-C56. A planet very similar to the pre-catastrophic Earth does not only become humanity's newest definition of heaven, but also makes for a prize to be fought over by Separatist and United Government forces.
